Easy Bitsy Carbonara

Also, another recipe shared around in Facebook...
with just few ingredients:-

1 tbsp Olive Oil
2 cloves of garlic
200g spaghetti
Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
Ham/Bacon

Place the spaghetti into a pot of boiling water with salt and some olive oil in it (so that they won't be sticking together)

Next, lightly whisk the eggs and add the Parmesan cheese in it and mix well & Set a side
*should have bought finer Parmesan cheese powder for creamier texture*

Stir fry the garlic until they are slightly brownish

It would be BEST if you use bacon for this dish...
but since I don't have...I used  just ham and German ham slice...

when the pasta is done, drained well and add into the pan, and lastly, pour in the cheese&eggs mixture and mix well for about 1 minute!

Whole process just takes less than 15 minutes!

No worries, it's moist and not dry as you see the pic XD
remember to sprinkle some black pepper or parsley/basil too!

Linguine Aglio Olio with bacon & mushrooms

I have really no sense in cooking!
I've seen recipes and videos on how to cook Aglio Olio, but still failed for twice...
First time too dry and bland -.-
Second time too salty!

And finally the third time is quite a success ones!
*maybe I should thank the bacon..haha*

Here are the ingredients I used for 3 portions:-

Linguine 300g
White Button Mushrooms 8pcs
Bacon streaks
Basil leaves
Garlic
Dried Basil/Parsley
Black pepper
Chilli flakes
Salt
Olive Oil 4tbsp
VCO 2tbsp
*I roughly use 3 tbsp of oil for 100g portion*

First of all, heat up the pan and pan fry the bacon without oil...
and while frying it, boil a pot of water with salt and some oil to cook the linguine until the texture & saltiness you like and get it drained & set aside by then.

When the bacon is turning brown, turn off the stove and set it aside.
But still, remaining the bacon fats in pan!

*p/s: why lah bacon shrink? T__T*

Bring in the oil and pan fry the garlic in medium fire until it turned slightly brownish

Then add in the chopped mushrooms and cook until they released the liquid
*until they shrink, literally*

Then add in the fresh basil leaves and a pinch of salt

and add in the cooked bacon, and let them stay in the pan for like 2 mins in medium low fire then turn it off~

Finally, add in the linguine and mix well together with chilli flakes, parseley/basil, and black pepper

and TADAAAAAAA

Cream of Mushroom Soup

I've been inspired by few friends who always do some simple cooking or lunch box, and also some mummies from FB mummy groups these days.....

and so, here blows my sense to cook!

XP

I've tried a few simple dishes these 3 weeks but often failed,

of coz those simple breakkie like big breakfast ok la coz just heat up and season everything ma...

2 days ago I've seen a mummy shared on the group on how to make mushroom soup,
and being impulse wanted to make this mushroom soup yesterday since I have all the ingredients in fridge!

I didn't really measure all the ingredients, and didn't follow all steps but just roughly control and add bit by bit.

Here are the ingredients I used:-
1 Yellow Onion - diced
1 Red Onion  - diced
(Supposed to use 2 Yellow Onions, but since I only left one and so I use red onion XD)
1 Potato - diced
(Can omit, I'm adding this for some texture - saw in google recipe)
Shiitake Mushrooms - chopped
White Button Mushrooms - chopped
Cooking Cream
Butter - 2 tablespoons
Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
Chicken Soup
(I curi ayam, using chicken stock ><)
Dried Parsley Flakes
Black Pepper
Salt

Step 1

Add in the olive oil & butter
And add in the onions once the butter has melted, stir fry and saute for about 3 minutes

Then, add in the mushrooms and saute until they release the moisture and becoming soft.

Step 2
Add potatoes & the chicken soup until it covers all your ingredients.
you may add more if you like it to be more soupy...

Add in salt, black pepper bit by bit until you get the taste you like.

Then bring it to boil, and turn to medium low heat.

Step 3
When the potatoes are soft, add in some cooking cream/whipping cream and bring it to boil again in medium low heat and turn to low heat and get it simmer for about 10 minutes.

Get them blend in a blender and add in your parsley!

Tadaaaaa

Here's my version of Creamy Mushroom Soup~
*I reserved some chopped mushrooms for picture purpose*
