A Lonesome series

It's been agesssssss since the last photo shooting of mine.
*Not counting of those outings' pics*
Guess you can gauge how long was it through my stiff expression.
-.-

However, I would love to share with you on Mr.Hoong's series of mine,
That I really like...

I've heard of Tokyo Pastry from 38 Eng, who also heard from her friends & students that their patisserie & cakes are quite good.
=)

So, I'm giving it a try since I also need to get cakes for my dad.
=P
Instead of just going to this Orange Zone Bakery that my family use to buy all year long for any occasions!
LOL

Tiramisu cheese cake
They have 2 types of tiramisu...
1 is this, another 1 is in slice

By the way, i don't really like this.
I dunno what kind of coffee they use, should be espresso as usual? and it's bitter & sour and the same time, and the texture of the cream cheese wasn't that smooth, with ONLY a minor cheese taste.

Choco Cake

I guess this is 1 of their signature cakes,
As this is the last slice when I was there.
This is really good in terms of their chocs, thick and smooth!
But somewhat hoping it is not this sweet?
=D

Opera cake!
Nice blend of chocs, mocha & hazelnut!~

Yummy~
^^

Menya Musashi~

Just right before I headed to lunch last week, a ramen pic from instagram distracted me.
After knowing where & what & etc,
we headed straight for the RAMEN @ Menya Musashi, Isetan One Utama!!!!!

Mr.Hoong got a lil' shock when he saw the long queue, starved to death I guess...

Lucky enough, those in front of us came in quite a big group (4-6 persons kind)...
and we managed to cut the queue~ ^^

My Aijitama ramen with Kuroi oil~~~

Holy shit!!!
by posting this pic has aroused my craving for it!
springy ramen, aromatic porky broth, tender chashu~
OH NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! so yummy!!!!! too bad the onsen egg was rather overcooked, else this would reach 10/10 of my ratings!!!!!

It is now a controversial topic between Santouka @ Pavilion & Menya Musashi.
Diff ppl diff taste lo.
I am disappointed on Santouka's service & ramen
It happened the same on both or third time of my visits,
that the servers were not attentive, and got the wrong orders.
And the ramen was sticking together though it should be springy enough.
=(
However, few of them telling me Santouka's broth and chashu are better...
So I guess, I will bet for another visit next time.

 I just feel like splurging!!!!!!!!!!
on clothings, make-ups, shoes, accessories, and...eat good food everyday...
oh ya, not to the extent i wanna buy premium brands YET~
LOL

But...I look like this right now...

Sweet Stuff!

I'm not a macaroon person,
as I'm finding them OVERLY sweet & tasteless besides the sugary taste.
*very bad experience from my first try in Levain*
To me, their colors are just way too cute & fascinating to most ladies,
and meant for just taking pictures???
=P

BTW, I'm gonna share the macaroons that I found not just lovely in colors,
but also quite good~~~

#1. Paul Lafayet in HK.

They claimed themselves to be the best & authentic French pastry boutique in HK.
not sure if it's true?
But don't care laaa...I like it ehh!!!
>.<

Photobucket

1st attempt during my last biz trip to HK @ K11 branch.
AWESOME-ness creme brulee~~~
it is so velvety and the sugar topping was still warm when I had it,
slighty crispy & burnt taste
*i like those chao long mei...hahahahahha*

For macaroons, I had rose & mocha~
They are still very sweet to me, but!!!
with taste~~~and the taste overtook the sweetness...
and the thin ganache's texture...hmmmm...i dunno how to describe

Photobucket

2nd try was on the same day as well,
but take-and-go in different branch that located at causeway bay.
Tiramisu + matcha & earl grey macaroons.
The tiramisu was fine for me,
but I will never forget their EARL GREY macaroon!~
so AROMATIC~

Okay. back to KL.

#2. Les Deux Garcons

Just because I know them selling earl grey macaroons, and fine french desserts~
Photobucket

The colors are so dying for!

Photobucket
Le Duchesse (Earl Grey cake)+ earl grey, rasberry, vodka, and strawberry macaroons
Die for Earl Grey...LOL!!!

Photobucket

I didn't had the vodka ones, but Mr.Hoong said it's good.

And we love rasberry ones!!!
instead of their earl grey...
